Welcome to TrueClock
TrueClock is a time-tracking product built for firms. This article gives you a high-level orientation to the core areas of the product so you know what's available and where to go next.
What you can do in TrueClock
Clients and projects
Track work by organizing it under clients and projects. Projects can have budgets and member rates associated with them.
Tasks
Time can be tracked against tasks within your projects.
Time entries and timers
You can record time manually as time entries, or use a timer to track time as you work.
Approvals
Time is organized into weekly and period approvals. Depending on your role and your firm's configuration, you may submit time for approval, or review, approve, return, lock, and unlock submitted time. Approval flags and audit history are available for tracking the status and history of approvals.
Reports
TrueClock includes a dashboard along with profitability reports built around revenue, cost, profit, and margin concepts. You can also build and save custom reports, and run payroll-period and employee-hours reports.
Settings and preferences
Company settings and personal preferences let you and your firm configure how TrueClock works for you. Access to settings can depend on your role and your firm's configuration.
Additional capabilities
TrueClock also supports importing historical time entries and exporting payroll data to Google Sheets.
Needs verification: Which of these areas should new users be directed to set up first, and is there a recommended order (e.g., firm setup before inviting users)?
